  • Russia/Ukraine fleet data update

    Aircraft status

    Due to the ongoing situation with Russia/Ukraine, Cirium has adopted a seven-day inactivity rule for Russian-operated aircraft, within our flight-status data. All aircraft involved are checked daily to see if there are periods of inactivity against that tolerance. We return aircraft to service when there is evidence that they are active and operating a series of flights, with one-off ferry flights tracked as storage location changes. When we do observe inactivity, we use the Parked event until more information is known about the ownership situation of the aircraft (see below).Continue reading

  • 328 Support Services changed to Deutsche Aircraft GmbH

    On 27th September 2021, 328 Support Services GmbH (328SSG) – Type Certificate holder for the D328®aircraft – officially became Deutsche Aircraft GmbH. You’ll now find this name change reflected within Fleets Analyzer.

     

  • Lessor Profiles now available in Beta

    Lessor Profiles (Beta) have been released and are currently available to users of Fleets Analyzer. These new profiles are similar to the recently released Airline Profiles.

    The new profiles make it easy to see the percentage of a lessor’s fleet that is currently on lease, and also the fleet breakdown by owned vs managed.

    In order to access Lessor Profiles, please see the information provided on the Fleets Analyzer homepage.

  • Airline Profiles – April updates

    Although the new Airline Profiles (Fleet summary) were released just last week, we already have a few enhancements to announce:

    1. You can now make charts and tables full screen.
    2. The ability to hide the filter panel has been made clearer.
    3. Links to new profiles on old profiles (available Thur 22nd).
    4. ‘Letter of Intent’ has now changed to ‘LOI’.
    5. Standard\Dashboard version: Ownership section text changed.

  • Early access to new Airline Profiles

    Users of Fleets Analyzer can now get early access to new Airline Profiles. The new Airline Profiles include: filtering, grouping, data visualisations, information on the age distribution of a fleet, and detailed ownership and lessor information. To get access, please see the instructions available from the Fleets Analyzer homepage.

  • Updated histories for F-14, Mirage F1, Super Etendard, and Mil Mi-2

  • Engine taxonomy changes

    Based on market feedback from customers, this weekend we will be making a number of changes to our engine taxonomy. For those customers who have Saved Searches that include engine models, you may need to update your Saved Searches after the changes have been made to ensure that your Saved Searches still work as expected. A full list of changes is included in the Excel file linked below.

  • Updates over the Christmas period

    Just a quick message to let you know that the UK based Data Teams will be taking a well-earned break over the Christmas period. From Monday 21st December through to Monday 4th January 2021 there will be minimal data updates across our Fleets, MRO, and Interiors datasets.

    Despite the backdrop of COVID, it has been our busiest year ever for updates on the commercial, business aviation, helicopter, and military fleets:

    • We have created an additional 159,986 events in the Aircraft Histories
    • We have updated 234,416 aircraft in the database
    • We have added an additional 9,824 aircraft to the database

    For the MRO and cabin interior data:

    • We have added 1000 MRO contracts
    • We have added 2500 more cabin interior records (passenger seating, IFE, Internet).

    We wish all Cirium customers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and rest assured the team will be back raring to go in the new year.

  • Aircraft storage prior to delivery

    Due to various market conditions, there are an increasing number of new build aircraft being moved from their final assembly facility to various storage locations prior to customer delivery. This is occurring while the aircraft still has a status of ‘on-order’.Continue reading

  • A note on aircraft returning to service

    Just a quick update on the situation with our commercial fleet details as we continue to react to the latest COVID market outlook.

    Due to the ongoing uncertainty with this pandemic and air travel in particular, we have taken the decision to remove the “scheduled to return / enter service” event from all aircraft currently in storage, except for those where airlines have announced a planned return for their fleet or sub-fleets.

    As always, we will continue to review on a daily basis the latest flight status of fleets as well as reflecting the very latest announcements and press statements from the airlines as they re-shape their fleet plans.

    Customers will need to be mindful of the above change when using any future fleet date in Analyzer as the aircraft will now still show in storage in the coming years.
