Release Notes v8.6

The following new features have been added in this release:

  • Order ID

Order ID

An order ID has been created and assigned to individual aircraft. Aircraft will share an order ID if the aircraft all form part of a single order and are of the same subseries. Order ID is most useful in the Aircraft section as a grouping option. Order ID can be found in the following locations in Flight Fleets Analyzer:

  • A new column titled “Order ID” available from the:
    • Aircraft section, Detail tab
    • Aircraft Events section, Detail tab
    • Accident section, Detail tab
  • A new column titled “Total Order IDs” available in the:
    • Aircraft section, Summary tab
    • Aircraft Events section, Summary tab
  • A grouping option on the Aircraft and Aircraft Event summary pages.
  • A new global filter will be available via the Add Filter menu (Age & Identification section) in the:
    • Aircraft section
    • Aircraft Events section
    • Maintenance section
    • Accidents section
  • As a filter from within the Quick Filter Select: for example, in the QFS type “61475”
  • On the header of the aircraft profile summary pages

It’s important to note that an aircraft’s order ID can change prior to delivery. Consider the scenario below:

  1. During January 2009, a customer signs a letter of intent covering options on eight aircraft, labelled A-H. These eight aircraft all have a status of “LOI to option” and have an order ID of 1234.
  2. At a later date (January 2010), the customer converts options on four of the original aircraft (A-D) to firm orders. Now aircraft A-D have a status of “On order”, a new order ID of 2222, and an order date of January 2010.
  3. In January 2011, the customer converts options on two of the original aircraft (E and F) to firm orders. Now aircraft E and F have a status of “On Order”, a new order ID of 3333, and an order date of January 2011.
  4. In January 2012, the customer changes the last two of the original aircraft (G and H) to firm orders. Now aircraft G and H have a status of “On Order”, a new order ID of 4444, and an order date of January 2012.

If an aircraft is swapped to a different type while on order, then the new aircraft will retain the original order ID and order date.
