Based on market feedback, Cirium is updating its aircraft taxonomy for two business jet families.

The Legacy 450 and Praetor 500 are currently treated as separate aircraft types. However, given the growing number of retrofit conversions between these models, Cirium will consolidate them into a single aircraft type: “Praetor 500 / Legacy 450.”

Similarly, Bombardier now offers the conversion of existing Global 7500 aircraft to Global 8000 specification. As a result, Cirium will also combine these into a single aircraft type: “Global 7500 / Global 8000.”

As part of this rework, some FG IDs may change for affected aircraft. Customers are therefore advised to review any saved queries or workflows that rely on the unique FG ID.

If you have Saved Searches that include the aircraft types noted above, please review and update them as required.

The updated, combined aircraft types will be reflected in the data from Tuesday, 5 May.
